Tall Men Fashions

England have one hand on the Ashes after Graeme Swann bowled them to victory with a five-wicket haul in Adelaide, where neither rain nor the lower order could save Australia on the fifth morning. The significance of the win cannot be underestimated, as it gives England a 1-0 advantage heading in to the third Test in Perth, which starts in a week and a half.

The triumph came when Swann turned a ball through the gate to bowl Peter Siddle, completing his five-for and confirming the margin of an innings and 71 runs. It was a devastating morning for Australia, who began the day hopeful that they could survive for a draw with six wickets in hand, but it took England less than 90 minutes to skittle the remaining Australians.

Last time England took a series lead in Australia, it was 1986-87, and they did not give it away. And as the holders of the urn, Andrew Strauss and his men will retain the Ashes unless Australia can win at least two of the remaining three Tests, a monumental task given that they have now gone five Tests without tasting victory, stretching back to the series against Pakistan in England.

There will be changes for both teams at the WACA, with England forced to look to Chris Tremlett or Tim Bresnan, due to a series-ending abdominal injury to Stuart Broad. Australia will have to find a new opener as Simon Katich's Achilles tendon problem has ruled him out of the rest of the series, while Xavier Doherty and Marcus North will also face a nervous wait to see if they keep their places.

North could have saved his position by salvaging a draw for Australia on the final day, but he was one of the wickets to fall cheaply as England wrapped up the contest before lunch. The visitors knew a thunderstorm was expected later in the afternoon, and after they made the initial breakthrough by getting rid of the established Michael Hussey for 52, they tightened the noose on Australia's lower order.

Hussey and North resumed at 4 for 238 after the loss of Michael Clarke from the last ball of play on Monday, and it took only six overs for England to get a sniff of victory. Hussey was dropped by Matt Prior off the bowling of Swann but didn't survive a second chance when he top-edged a pull off Steven Finn and was comfortably taken at midwicket by James Anderson.

Calibration Notes: The XBR9 was more difficult to calibrate than many recent TVs. There is error occuring in varying ire points creating a condundrum in where to tighten up color and where to just allow it to fall where it will. Gain controls may only be reduced on the XBR9, when we needed to drive blue up. We ended up with error in the 40, 50, 60 range opting to let the middle float and keep the ends of the scale on scale. Off axis viewing dramatically affects blacks and grays when calibrating - making calibration difficult when color shifts at varying angles. See Viewing Angle section for more.

720p/1080i/1080p Picture Quality: HD picture quality was much crisper and colors are more saturated. Blacks become slightly hazy at side angles but straight appear plenty saturated. I beleive the anti glare technology introduced into the LCD panel creates most of the weakness issues with color calibrations and off angle viewing. Dont misunderstand, the HD picture from Blu Ray and Broadcast HD was clear, vivid and colorful as always, but alas the image does not appear as deep as some of the better pictures we've viewing lately.

Tall Women Fashions

f you're a taller than average woman it can sometimes be a frustrating experience when you are trying to find the styles of clothing that suit your body structure. When you are looking for women's clothing it shouldn't be a guessing game or a gamble. You will end up wasting a lot of money on clothes that don't suit your height or figure. You should know exactly the kind of women's clothing that suits your body structure and what kind of clothing to stay away from. Below are some helpful tips for taller women so they can fill their wardrobes with the proper types of women's clothing.

Tall women should avoid wearing Women's clothing that have bright and wild prints. Wear a different coloured top than what you wear below. Wearing two different colours above and below will help break up your height. Stick to outfits that have both light and dark colours. As much as possible, stay away from monochromatic women's clothing. Tall women look attractive and appealing with wide belts because it makes their torso appear shorter. A wide belt can be the perfect accessory to a simple a-line dress, a skirt, or even trousers. Belts help define the waist on a tall figured woman so she doesn't seem like one big endless mass. When searching for the right pair of trousers look for those which have cuffs on the bottom. Cuffs at the bottom of your pants will help make you appear shorter than you actually are.

Wear dresses and skirts that end at your shins. Do not bother with dresses that end at your ankles because they will accentuate your height. Other ideal clothing that end below the knee are capris. Shin skirts and dresses and capris are the types of clothing that will reduce the elongated look of your body. Whatever womens clothing you decide to wear make sure they are neither too loose nor too fitted. Your tops should be longer than what you wear below. By wearing a long top and something short below you make you give the impression that you are shorter. Wearing low heeled shoes such as ballet flats will avoid adding height to your already tall frame.

Tiny dresses, pants, shirts, overalls, and one-piece outfits can bust a family budget faster than you can say "Baby Gap." And of course, kids grow like weeds, so those cute outfits have a short life of usefulness. What's a parent to do?

Secondhand clothes are a great way to save dough, especially when kids are young and not yet fashion-picky. Make sure to check these guidelines on clothing safety from the Consumer Product Safety Commission. But if you're also dying to buy cute new duds, coupons, overstock sales, and other methods can land you new kids' clothes for a lot less. Read on for more ideas!
Haunt garage sales and thrift shops

To get high-quality baby clothes for a fraction of retail prices, search the classified ads in your local newspaper or online for people selling them by the box load. Garage sales and children's thrift stores can also be gold mines, with items selling for as little as 25 cents apiece. You might get lucky and find brand-name clothing in mint condition.

And while everyone loves to find those perfect, worn-once items, don't hesitate to buy a few gently used outfits as well. That way you won't mind if your baby gets them dirty at daycare or during playtime. You can also use iron or sew-on patches to cover spots or other small imperfections.

"You can get one-piece outfits really cheap at yard sales, but they're usually yellowed or stained. I tie-dyed the ones I bought that weren't perfectly white, and they're adorable." — Narshkite

"The best part about going to resale shops is that when your children outgrow the things you buy, you can take them back to the shop and basically make your money back." — Lori Ward
Host a clothes swap

Have a "freshen up your kid's wardrobe" party where you ask friends and family to bring old clothes their children no longer wear. Toss everything into the middle of the room and do a big trade. Everyone usually goes home with something new and it's absolutely free.

Winter Snow Tires

Winter Tires

If you regularly encounter ice, unplowed snow, or slush, then you're going to need winter tires (also known as “snow tires"). Winter tires will give you that extra traction, braking and handling you'll need to confidently drive on snow and ice. They have specialized rubber compounds and tread designs to handle the cold temperatures. The tread remains flexible to prevent snow buildup and help with traction on ice. Tests that has been conducted on ice show that even at 15mph, vehicles equipped with winter tires stopped from 1/2 to a full car length shorter than identical vehicles on all season tires. Without winter tires you are more likely to fishtail on corners and spin out on that icy hill.

ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System), traction control, and vehicle dynamics control systems are limited by the grip the tires can provide. These are all safety features you don't want to fail under emergency circumstances.

The very common misconception among SUVs and other 4WD vehicles' drivers is that a 4 wheel drive vehicle provides them with the safety measures they need when driving on the ice. This deadly misconception has no grip on reality whatsoever. A 4WD vehicle will help you get started from a full stop and will slightly help you around corners, but will certainly not help you to stop or slow down the car any faster.

A recent study [1] conducted by the Canadian Press and Leger Marketing paints and interesting picture of winter tires usage across Canada: Québec has the highest usage at 84%, followed by Eastern Canada at 57%. Surprisingly, only 29% of Ontario drivers make use of winter tires. British Columbia is next at 28%, followed by Alberta at 22% and only 10% winter tires usage in the Prairie provinces. While still only 42% of Canadians use winter tires, the trend is unmistakable: more and more people are switching to winter tires.
Usage of All Season Tires During Winter

All Season tires are not designed to be optimal in one specific weather condition. They are meant to be adequate in all weather. To be able to handle different types of weather, compromises have to be made. The tread design of an all season tire is not as aggressive as that of a winter tire and is also not as flexible in the cold. An all season tire's tread will quickly get packed with snow and you lose traction.

Although all season tires are branded M&S (or M+S, which stands for Mud and Snow), this is only based on the void-to-rubber ratio of the tread design, where the severe snow rating is based on actual performance testing. If you expect you will have to drive in moderate to severe snow, you should purchase a set of winter tires. If you drive in a particularly wet climate or you only get a very small amount of snow, all season tires could be a good idea.
Severe Snow Tires Grading

On February 1, 1999 the Rubber Manufacturer's Association (RMA) and the Rubber Association of Canada (RAC) introduced a winter tire grading.

These tires are specifically designed for severe snow conditions and meet snow traction performance requirements. Tires meeting this standard are marked with a pictograph of a peaked mountain Snow Tires Grading. This standard helps drivers choose a tire that will help make their winter driving safer.
Winter Tires Installation and Purchasing Tips

There are few things to keep in mind when shopping for winter tires. In most cases, you should consider purchasing separate rims for your snow tires. This will save you the time and costs involved in balancing the winter tires onto your existing rims. Typically, balancing a tire on a rim costs between $15 to $25 CAD per wheel, and you will have to bear these costs once again, when switching back to your summer tires or all season tires. Alternatively, a low-cost steel rim is approximately around $80 CAD, and opting for a separate rim also gives you the opportunity to install the winter tires by yourself and at your convenience. You may decide to go even farther and purchase alloy rims to enjoy a consistent and esthetic look of your car, all year round. Purchasing a full winter package is most likely the best way to go, as balancing is provided for free on such packages.

Plantronics Headphone

The good: The Plantronics M100 is a very slim and discreet headset with wind noise reduction, multipoint, and headset voice alerts. It has a comfortable fit, plus it has an iPhone battery meter.

The bad: The Plantronics M100 doesn't have A2DP streaming and the battery meter is exclusive to iPhones. Audio quality is not as good as we hoped.

The bottom line: The Plantronics M100 is a solid midrange Bluetooth headset for the price, especially for iPhone users who want a headset battery meter.
Review:

Plantronics rarely steers us wrong when it comes to Bluetooth headsets, so we were pleased to hear the company has released yet another one, dubbed the Plantronics M100. Designed to be a midtier model for the urban professional, the M100 has a nice, slim design and features voice alerts and multipoint, in addition to the usual noise-canceling features. We were also pleasantly surprised by the addition of a headset battery meter specifically for iPhone users. We did wish the M100 had A2DP streaming as well, but for a mono headset, we were pleased with the Plantronics M100. The Plantronics M100

Young baby clothes

one-piece baby clothing is an innovative childrenswear idea that combines the convenience and practicality of a one-piece romper and the richness and style versatility of layered baby clothes. Can infant wear be unique and inventive, solving common problems like twisting and riding up? Yes it can!

Can baby clothes offer the stylish look of separates, and have the ease and convenience of a one-piece?

It can if it’s Stylease.

Stylease isn’t your ordinary baby clothing. Through its patented concept, Stylease brand one-piece infant wear offers parents a wide range of styles and looks associated with separates. And yet, its design is so ingenious, it’s hard to tell that Stylease is really all one piece.

What is easy to see, is the way Stylease outfits give parents the best value, practicality and style available.

It’s Mom-Invented!

Stylease is a mom-invented product developed by Jennifer Hughes. She hatched the idea out of frustration with not finding clothes for her toddlers that could be both stylish and practical. Once created, it didn’t take long to see that parents worldwide shared her frustration – and impatience – for a solution.

Because it creates the look of different tops and bottoms in its one-piece clothing, Stylease infant wear lets parents dress their babies in more expressive and stylish outfits without the inconveniences associated with separates, like twisting and bunching-up.

Practicality Not Possible with Separates

Parents who like the look of traditional separates agree; they’re simply not practical on a young baby. Stylease is. Because Stylease baby wear is really one piece, it gives parents style with one-piece practicality.

Our outfits are designed to either open to the waist down the front and / or have hidden access features, making it easy to dress your baby from the bottom up. There are also snaps, zippers or other closures in the crotch of all our styles for easy diaper changes.

Nike Shoes

He's an NFL rookie who hasn't played a down of football and he already gets his own Nike shoe?" --some might say, but its really not surprising that Tim Tebow is already getting his own Nike shoe.

First, the shoe is being endorsed by both Nike and EA Sports. EA Sports is most famous for its Madden NFL Football video games and its NCAA football games. Tebow was the cover athlete for the most recent NCAA football video game, and last years cover athlete San Francisco Forty-Niners wide receiver Michael Crabtree signed a deal with Nike Air Jordan shoes as a rookie.

True,Tebow is getting his very own personally branded shoe, but it isn't an NFL shoe, nor does it have the colors of the Denver Broncos--the team that picked him with the twenty fifth pick in the April 2010 NFL Draft. Instead, the shoe shows off Tebow's college Florida Gators colors. Inscribed in the left shoe are the words "The Promise" and this commemorates Tim Tebow's vow to not lose another game and win out the season--which the Gators eventually did indeed accomplish.

Tebow is considered one of, if not the greatest college football player to ever play the game. As a quarterback, Tebow broke Herschel Walker's SEC record for rushing touchdowns. Herschel Walker was a prolific running back for the NFL Dallas Cowboys and the fact that a quarterback broke his long standing record was very surprising. Some critics of Tebow believe he ran very effectively in college, but believe his throwing ability may not translate well to the NFL. Others believe that with time, he can be coached into an elite NFL quarterback due to his college success and hard work ethic.

Is Zero Percent Financing a Good Thing?

If you've watched much television lately, you've likely seen back-to-back car commercials touting zero percent financing. As carmakers compete to sell vehicles, nearly all are resorting to "no cost" financing.

Zero percent financing offers often draw consumers to new car showrooms, but the results aren't always advantageous for buyers.

"On the surface, zero percent financing can sound like a no-brainer," said Ethan Ewing, president of Bills.com, a financial advice Web site. "However, consumers must understand that zero percent financing is intended to generate foot traffic for dealers as a bait and switch tactic, and that it is sometimes not as rewarding as alternative incentive offers."

In many cases, zero percent financing can present tremendous opportunities to potential car buyers. However, consumers should first do their homework to ensure that it is actually the bargain it is marketed as by dealers and car companies.

Some things to consider:

• Remember that all dealer incentives are designed to generate car sales. The ultimate goal is to bring consumers into the showroom.

• Zero percent financing is predicated on good credit. Normally, only the best credit customers will qualify for this promotion. If you are purchasing because of the promotion, check your credit score ahead of time so you can know whether to even step foot into the showroom.

Deal N Deal Blogspot - New Born Clothes.

When preparing for your baby, one of the most joyful experiences that you will have is purchasing all of those cute, tiny outfits. However, try to resist stuffing your baby’s closet with dozens of outfits. Quite often, the more adorable an outfit is, the more impractical it is. Trying to get a tiny, fragile, squirming baby into a frilly, lacy frock is borderline impossible. Also, keep in mind that your baby will grow quickly. If you buy too many newborn clothes, chances are, your baby won’t even get the chance to wear many of them before they are outgrown.

* Below are several tips for sensibly choosing your newborn’s wardrobe.

* Buy three undershirts. Get the kind that have snaps on the side and open on the front. These are great for the first couple of weeks. They are easy to put on your newborn and they won’t rub against his umbilical stump.

* Buy about 10 onesies. These are appropriate once the umbilical stump falls off. These won’t ride up or wrinkle under your baby and are typically more comfortable for her than the undershirts. These are also good for colder weather because they won’t ride up and expose your baby’s tummy.

* Get about five sleepers with feet. These will keep your baby’s feet warm without trying to wrestle socks onto tiny, kicking feet. Sleepers with zippers are the most convenient for frequent diaper changes.

* Purchase six nightgowns with elastic bottoms. The easy open bottoms make those late night diaper changes a bit easier. Once your baby starts moving around, these become less practical because they tend to ride up.

* Get a couple of blanket sleepers. These will keep your baby warm without using a heavy blanket or comforter. Avoid using blanket sleepers after your baby reaches 5 months of age.

* Buy about three hats for your newborn. Babies lose a lot of body heat from their heads. Newborn babies should wear caps or hats to prevent too much heat loss.

* Get several pairs of socks. You need several pairs because you will lose several. You’ll lose them in the grocery store, the parking lot and your clothes dryer will eat a ton. Baby socks are tiny so once they are lost, they tend to stay lost.

How to Get Fast Internet

How to Get Fast Internet - Deal N Deal Blogspot:

#

Research promotions. Depending on which ISP (internet service provider) you have, the promotions will vary. Companies like Comcast in many areas are having promotions where you start at $19.99 per month for the first 6 months for 6 mb/s internet [twice as fast as DSL @ 3mb/s]. With the invention of FIOs [fiber optics] companies are beginning to get more desperate with their promotions. Some ISPs won't even require you to sign an annual contract.
#
Step 2

Once you have chosen your ISP of choice and your promotion, open a new account. Make sure you pay your bills on time!
#
Step 3

Once your promotion is up, call your provider to cancel your service. When they ask for the reason, say that you are deeply displeased with their speed and you are going to switch to their competitor[ in the case Comcast, this would be Verizon] The company will then attempt to give you another promotion for only slightly more [this will still be better than their regular price]. There is also a possibility of a speed upgrade [ this happened to me]. If you like what you hear, accept it!
#
Step 4

Repeat step 3 when your promotion is up and they will attempt to offer you another promotion.

Plasma Tv

Flat-Screen TV Shopping Tips

All right, you've made it this far. Here are key points to consider before you take the HD plunge.

Consider the alternatives: If you can live with a tabletop set that's 10 to 18 inches--rather than 4 to 7 inches--deep, DLP (digital light-processing) rear-projection sets can deliver solid performance in similar screen sizes and at lower prices. You just don't hear about them as much because they're not as sexy.

To learn about other big-screen TV options, check out "How to Buy a Rear-Projection TV."

Think HDMI: Get a set with at least three or four HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) inputs. Doing so will ensure that you can connect it to multiple HD sources such as digital cable boxes, satellite receivers, and Blu-ray Disc players. Try to choose a set with at least some front- or side-accessible ports; such conveniences can make life much easier when it comes time to connect a device.

Compare displays using various input sources: Most flat-panel displays will handle HDTV and DVD signals well, but mediocre cable and satellite signals will give some of them fits. Don't make a buying decision based solely on images generated from pristine sources, or based on what you see in the store.

Look for good black tones: When you're comparison shopping, bring along a DVD of a movie containing some dimly lit night scenes. Use it to check for good black reproduction and the ability to render detail in near-darkness.

Get to know the remote: A good remote can be your best friend, a bad remote your worst enemy. (Well, okay, we're exaggerating a little, but you get the idea.) Does it have backlighting or glow-in-the-dark buttons to help you see what you're doing when the lights are turned down? How easy is it to find commonly used buttons by feel?

Check the video settings: Grab the TV's remote, pull up the video-adjustment menu and look at the settings. If you thought the picture looked a little (or a lot) off on first viewing, try selecting the median settings for contrast, brightness, color, tint, and sharpness. Those probably won't be optimum, but chances are they're closer than what you found originally. A good display can easily look worse than a lesser one if it's poorly adjusted. Repeat your tests using a variety of sources, including a dimly lit movie, if necessary. Also keep in mind that you'll likely have to readjust the color settings for each source. Most HDTVs these days have input memories, so your set should keep the ideal settings for high-def movies on one input and your video games on another.

World's Oldest Camera

The first commercially built camera, a Daguerréotype built in 1839 by Alphonse Giroux - brother to the inventor of photography - is to be auctioned in Vienna in May this year.
The Photography Blog, basing itself on a press release by Westlicht Photographica Auction, announced that the world's oldest camera will soon go under the hammer - for an expected 500,000 Euro (750,000 Canadian Dollar).
More or less the iPad of it's time, the Giroux Daguerréotype was the model that got photography started in a serious way, culminating - as for now - in the incredibly widespread use of digital camera's in most aspects of modern life: from hobby to science, from Flickr to Digital Journal.
The camera is said to be in pristine condition, and it had been more or less hidden away up to now in the possession of several generations of a German family. Although the starting price has been set at a mere 200,000 Euro, insiders estimate that the final price may go up to half a million or more.
The unique camera, completely unknown up until now, has been produced in Paris, starting in 1839, and circulated in a limited number. It is based on original plans drawn up by its inventor, Louis Jacques Mandé Daguerre; although it was his brother - Alphones Giroux - who made the actual production possible.
Whoever will become the new owner, will also come into the possession of an extremely rare original instruction booklet (in German) with the title: “Practical Description of the Daguerreotypes”. That publication is by Georg Gropius, Berlin 1839, and consists of 24 pages with illustrations and plates showing the equipment used for producing Daguerreotypes.
